The Cassini probe was built here in America with its own little nuclear decay generator and after it made its seven year journey to Saturn, it was supposed to operate on mission after arrival for four years, in 2008. The Little Probe that Could is scheduled to be torpedoed into Saturn's atmosphere this Friday in what will be an end to its 20 year service to science.
