Corsair Teases Hydro X Series Water Cooling

If you click over to Corsair's homepage, you will be presented with two hard-tubes with a purple coolant flowing freely through them, fashioned in a nice big X. Then you get "Hydro X Series, Just Add Water." Is Corsair telling us that they are using the talents they recently poached from EK, and putting those to use in preparing its own line of Corsair custom cooling loop products? Yeah, that is exactly what that means. Being that Cosair is using talent from EK, we at least know they have a grasp on what not to do when it comes to water cooling, and that is probably a good lesson to have in the bag. The only other thing of interest on the page, is "Coming Soon" text and a "Notify Me" button.

Corsair 280X Micro-ATX Case with AIO in Mind

Many hardware enthusiasts have been pushing their system footprint into smaller dimensions for a while now as is shown off by this HardForum thread with 14K replies and 2.1M views. Corsair is looking to get in on the game, but has AIO cooling in mind with its new 280X RGB Crystal Series case. And while not "tiny," I think this will appeal to many.

The CORSAIR Crystal Series 280X RGB is a high-performance Micro-ATX case with three beautiful tempered glass panels, two stunning LL120 RGB fans and an innovative dual-chamber internal layout for clean looks and cleaner builds. Outstanding cooling potential offers room for up to six cooling fans and multiple 240mm liquid cooling radiators, while the dual-chamber design lets you put your core hardware on display while tidying drives, cables and the PSU away in a dedicated compartment. With 32 RGB LEDs controlled by an included Lighting Node PRO digital RGB lighting controller and CORSAIR iCUE software, it’s easy to match your setup, create amazing lighting effects or synchronize all your CORSAIR RGB lighting together. CORSAIR Crystal 280X RGB - Clearly Compact.

Corsair May Be Developing Gaming Monitors

A job posting at Indeed.com has revealed that Corsair is seeking product managers for monitors, which would imply that the company is pretty serious about getting into the display business. Past history would suggest that they will begin targeting the higher end: expect a gaming monitor with some level of RGB flair.

The listing reveals that Corsair's foray into monitors is still at a nascent stage, and it still needs to figure out a strategy to approach this market. We give it at least a year before Corsair can have a product lineup. Knowing Corsair, it could adopt a bottom-down approach, with a high-end product launch first.

Corsair Product Marketer Fired with Extreme Prejudice

In what can only be described as one of the most heinous crimes of 2018, a yet-to-be-named senior product developer and marketing strategist at Corsair, has been officially released from duty today. His atrocious act? He brought a new product to market without RGB lighting. And to add fuel to the fire, the new RAM is only colored in simple black and white. The horror.

WHERE PERFORMANCE MEETS DESIGN - DOMINATOR PLATINUM Special Edition CONTRAST’s 10-layer PCB is kept cool with purpose-built heat-spreaders and patented DHX cooling technology that helps push your system to the limit. XMP 2.0 support provides quick and easy setup on all modern Intel platforms.

Corsair Wants to Stop GPU Abuse

Corsair has released a new video to raise awareness for GPU abuse. #GPURESCUE is an initiative to save graphics cards from their neglect and abuse at the hands of cryptocurrency miners. For less than the cost of a retro inspired 8-bit indie platformer, we can help. Thanks to @cageymaru for the story.

A Tour of the Corsair Headquarters

Corsair is one of the best known brands in the PC market, and Legit Reviews got the opportunity to take a tour of their 64,000 square foot headquarters in California. Featuring a store with display units everywhere, a dedicated comic department, an impressive LAN gaming center and even a full bar.
Amazing office for sure. I wish that Legit Reviews got some pictures of the R&D and testing areas though and not just the more public spaces. I also hope that 20 person DRAM procurement meeting went well, we need it right now.

Corsair has various departments at their office and it is easy to forget just how many markets Corsair is involved in, but just to give an idea, I walked by one meeting involving DRAM procurement that had twenty people in it, alone. It’s crazy to think how many people are involved in bringing us the computer peripherals and components we use and how much planning goes into making these products.

New Corsair Dark Core SE Wireless Mouse and MM1000 Charging Mousepad

I am not a mouse or keyboard reviewer, but we asked Corsair to send over its new Corsair Dark Core SE Mouse and its MM1000 mousepad which facilitates wireless charging of the mouse. It has been a long time since I used a wireless mouse, and it has been since never that I have had a wired mousepad. (These crazy kids nowadays!) So putting it through its duties in Fortnight, I immediately noticed after five rounds...that I still suck. However the mouse did work well, and I do keep a healthy rotation of new mice on my desk, so I am surely not out of touch there. Once the guys in the HardForum informed me that the QI wireless charging extension was for other devices besides the mouse, I had to rewrite this. As you can see, the QI charging extensive can be plugged into your phone or whatever else to use the MM1000 for charging things other than you mouse. When you want to charge the Dark Core mouse, you park the tail of the mouse over the circle on the mousepad. At that point you get a notification that charging is taking place. The mousepad has an LED that strobes to let you know that all is right in the universe as you leave your system. The Dark Core SE came out of the box with a charge, and we all know that feeling of getting to have immediate gratification with our new hardware and not having to wait around. On the topic of the MM1000 mousepad, this is the first new mousepad I have had in about 20 years. I still had a RatPadz XT on my desk up till a few hours ago, so getting used to the MM1000 might take a while. It has a lot more friction than the RatPadz XT. The MM1000 mousepad is huge as well and gave me all the mousing space I could ask for. After some Fortnight, I have to say I feel good with it.
