If you are a [H]ard|OCP reader, you are more than familiar with Cooler Master's products. The company has spent the past 20 years delivering quality products to enthusiasts and gamers around the globe. Whether it be cases, power supplies, gaming peripherals, or cooling products, Cooler Master has something for just about everyone in a variety of price ranges. Today we are reviewing the Cooler Master Elite 110 Mini-ITX Case.
From the company's "About Us" page:
Pursuing excellence in design, quality, and affordability since its inception two decades ago, Cooler Master has fueled growth through product portfolio diversification. This comes from an endless drive to deliver world class quality and service to its customers.
Wide-ranging product offerings (Power supplies, enclosures, accessories, peripherals, & cooling products)
Innovation driven by cohesive effort between end-user input and R&D
World-class regional customer support teams
The company claims that, while this is the smallest case in the Elite line, the Cooler Master Elite 110 Mini-ITX Case still supports standard sized desktop components. A bold claim given the size of this mini-ITX chassis.
The Elite 110 is a mini cube compact case with support for full size standard desktop components. Other than the conventional mini-ITX case, the Elite 110 supports ample storage up to 3 HDDs / 4 SSDs and you can even install a 120mm radiator in the front for extreme cooling. It can accommodate the standard full size ATX PSU length up to 180mm and the short dual slots graphic cards length up to 210mm.
Given that this chassis has no external drive bay opening for an optical drive, we think Cooler Master billing the Elite 110 a "cube style" case intended as a LAN box or HTPC is spot on. In fact, if you can't get by without an optical drive in your system, you might as well stop reading now. Everyone else, feel free to continue along with us as we evaluate this tiny chassis.
The Cooler Master Elite 110 arrived in its bare product packaging with no signs of wear or damage. The overall package measurements are 10.5"H x 12.5"L x 13.5"W and is constructed of double-walled corrugated cardboard that is glued along the seams.
The outside of the plain cardboard packaging is adorned with product information, name and company logo, all printed in black. The case itself is wrapped in a plastic bag and held in place by Styrofoam inserts.
