Enermax Technology Corporation is a company that is well known in the world of power supplies and general computing alike. Founded in 1990 Enermax has made a name for itself by providing solid performing power supplies, among other computer components, and accessories. Enermax' current lines of power supplies encompass a wide range of products targeted at various market segments including the MODU87+, PRO87+, Revolution85+, Galaxy EVO, MODU82+, PRO82+, LibertyECO, and Tomahawk series. In addition to being a retail presence with its Enermax brand power supplies, Enermax Technology Corporation appears to be one of the few real OEM designers of power supplies. Its power supplies however, have only rarely shown up under other labels including Grow Up Japan, Sapphire, and its house brand Lepa. Today we are looking at our first power supply from Enermax’ new MaxRevo line of power supplies with this 1350 watt model (EMR1350EWT).
Today’s Enermax MaxRevo 1350W is the first power supply we have seen from Enermax’ new flagship product line and, to date, it is the largest capacity unit we have seen from Enermax. In general, Enermax units have been interesting products in our reviews as its higher end product lines have generally done well as enthusiast units while its lower end offerings have struggled somewhat in finding a real useful identity. As such, today’s new MaxRevo is following in good footsteps at the high end of Enermax’ offerings. Additionally, it also promises to be the most efficient Enermax power supply we have reviewed to date. Before moving on to our evaluation of this new flagship let’s see what Enermax has to say about this unit:
Enermax enters the heavyweight class with its new MaxRevo, high-performance PSU specially designed for multi-GPU systems, industrial PC, workstations and servers. It complies with the strictest standards for server PSU, and is equipped with six powerful 12V rails for a safe and stable supply of power to today’s high-end systems with full modular design for easy customized use for various peripheral GPU settings.
MaxRevo incorporates the Copper-Bridge Array transmission technology to replace traditional wires, which offers four times wider and shorter transmission path, and results in up to 3% improved regulation that ensures system stability and clean DC output quality.
Enermax further advanced the topology of its successful Modu87+ and Pro87+ series to reduce energy losses, along with its patented high magnetic power density transformer to provide maximum switching efficiency and outstanding KW output stability, that enables PSU to attain up to 94 % peak efficiency (80 PLUSآ® Gold standard). The MaxRevo signfies Enermax’s commitment to lead the industry with innovative and high-quality power supplies, and will be available in powerful 1350W.
Let's move on to see what we have to look forward to when we purchase the Enermax MaxRevo 1350W in terms of documentation, accessories, cable count, rail layout, output characteristics, and general build quality.
